Watercolor Heirloom Tomato Supper Dinner Party Invitation
A hand-drawn dinner party invitation with a sliced heirloom tomato showing the menu in its seed chambers, in red, green and corn yellow on linen.
A relaxed dinner party invitation for an end-of-summer supper at home, drawn as a loose ink sketch with watercolor washes that slip past the lines. A big sliced heirloom tomato sits in the middle, and each seed chamber holds one course of the menu, so the guests see what is coming. Above it are a hand-lettered title, the hosts' names and a short welcome line, and below it the date, time, address, RSVP and a note to bring a bottle. The palette is tomato red, basil green, sweet corn yellow and warm linen, with sketchy ink linework. It suits a harvest supper, a garden dinner or any casual gathering around a menu.
