Bauhaus Geometric Lettering Typographic Art Print Poster
A cheerful Bauhaus art print poster with a motto in letters built from flat geometric pieces, in slate green, persimmon, ochre and chalk.
A tall typographic art print for a print shop, studio or gallery wall, with a four-line motto set in huge letters built from flat blocks, circles, triangles and half-rounds. Every letter is finished except one corner piece that is still dropping in from above on a dashed trail, which gives the whole poster a small sense of motion. The palette is slate green, persimmon, pale ochre and soot on a chalk ground, with a header line, a short caption, a tray of loose parts and a footer for the edition note and web address. It reads cheerful and workmanlike, and the wording and shop details can be swapped for another motto or maker.
