Patchwork Quilt Blocks Folk Album Cover
A flat, abstract folk album cover built from patchwork quilt blocks in blue, orange, cream and green, with a bold slab-serif title and artist strip.
A square album cover for a folk duo's fiddle-and-banjo record, drawn as a quilt of big flat blocks, half-square triangles and striped cells that fill the whole square. One block is left bare buttermilk with a single orange thread trailing loose from its edge, which gives the cover its story. A heavy walnut plate holds the bold slab-serif title, with the artist name on a cream strip beneath, so both read at phone-thumbnail size. The palette is feed-sack blue, persimmon, buttermilk, walnut and sorrel green, with a homespun, unhurried and gently bittersweet mood that suits folk, bluegrass, Americana and country records.
