Hand-Drawn Pottery Painting Bridal Shower Invitation
A hand-drawn bridal shower invitation with a wobbly stack of glazed plates and bowls, cobalt and celadon washes, and room for the party details.
A square bridal shower invitation for a pottery-painting party where guests decorate a plate or bowl for the couple's first set of dishes. A wobbly stack of hand-thrown plates and bowls sits at the top, each glazed in a different color, with the bride's name painted around the rim of the top plate. Below it are a big hand-lettered headline, a short note about the party, and spots for the date, time, address and RSVP, plus a line about what to wear. Loose ink outlines, dripping glazes and soft color washes in cobalt, celadon and clay on a warm cream ground give it a crafty, friendly feel.
